We have meadow grass hay available!

These are small square bales.
Asking $4 per bale.

In dry years, we’re able to get into our meadows around our field margins and make some pretty nice grass hay.  Since the early summer was so rainy, this hay was baled in late August.

These bales are big and tight.  They’re a mix of some reed canary grass, along with a shorter, finer stemmed species.  They will make good rough feed for ruminants.  They are also excellent when used as garden mulch, or to cover and insulate delicate perennials over the winter.

Given how late we had to wait before we could bale the meadows this year, I do not recommend this hay for horses.
